MASSOCELL® is a microbiological formulation based on Bacillus Velezensis strain NCIMB 30322. This bacteria is naturally found in the soil. The strain NCIMB 30322 is known for its high ability to solubilise phosphorus and other soil nutrients. Furthermore, MASSOCELL® contains 33 % of free amino acids of vegetal origin.
In acid soils, the phosphorus tends to react with aluminum (Al), iron (Fe) and magnesium (Mg), while in alkaline soils it reacts with calcium (Ca), producing in these cases non-water soluble salts that can not be uptaken by plants.
Applied through drip irrigation or by soil injection, MASSOCELL® increases the amount of phosphorus in the soil which is available for the plants. Furthermore, and thanks to its aminoacid content, MASSOCELL® improves the plant metabolism. Plants can synthesise proteins from the amino acids provided and save the energy cost of synthesising proteins using the nitrogen absorbed by the roots. As amino acids that can be metabolised easily, they also promote photosynthetic activity and strengthen cell walls, helping plants to regulate their osmotic balance.
